Football
This year we have decided to play training matches year
group vs year group to get them prepared for the school football season. Not
only does this allow teams to practice in a competitive situation, it also
builds upon the vertical tutor system as players will compete against people
they may never have any contact with otherwise. So far this has been extremely
successful and the teams are certainly benefitting from this experience.
Cross Country
The Avon Schools Cross Country event progressed on Saturday
16th January. Schools from all over the South West attended including Marlwood
School. In the inter girls event, Harriet Foulner finished in 29th place. Joe
Mead in the minor boys finished in 14th place and Joe Leather finished in 13th
place in the inter boys. Well done to everyone who represented Marlwood School
in cross country this year.
